I’ve
always wanted a friend,
Someone
I could talk to,
In
times of sorrow and joy,
A
listener to my problems,
And
the way I feel.
And
there you were,
Ready
to hear me,
When I
cry and when I laugh,
Always
there to give me,
A
shoulder to lean on,
Always
there for me to count on,
You
may not know it,
That
when I see you,
A
smile conquers my face,
Because
you are closer,
Closer
than a sister,
And a
true art of a best friend,
That
seems to understand me,
Beyond
motherly nature,
You, I
will always cherish,
As a
treasure, held so dear to my heart.
